Thoughts from T&T
The Olympics are just too big for one "thought" so we (or I) decided to do a part two. I mentioned in part one that "I love the Olympics." Well, yes and no! Let me explain.
I love the track and field events...all of them. I hate fencing. I love boxing and basketball but hate rhythmic gymnastics. I don't love volleyball or archery, but I still watch them. You could not pay me to watch sailing or synchronized swimming. So with me its really a love/hate relationship...but a lot more love then hate.
You know what I also love? Seeing the young athletes from around the world getting to know each other. Laughing and crying together, making friends, finding out what they have in common. I pray that these Olympics will be about these young adults, not about governments and politics.
If you have a comment or if you would like to tell me your favorite Olympic sports, email me through the "contact us" <--- icon to the left. Or you can fax me at 518-298-2604. I would love to hear from you.

 | | Awwww..... |
Not really a fun observance, but still one we should think about...this week is homeless animal week. Of course human life trumps that of animals, and I know we have thousands of homeless people in our countries...however that does not mean that we should ignore the plight of animals. After all they are God's creatures. So, this week take the time to visit or call a local shelter in your area. If possible, consider adopting a new furry member of the family. If that is not in the realm of possibilities, give a donation. A little can go along way. Have a great week all. | | Copyright Gospel Communications International, Inc www.reverendfun.com |
